SAFETY

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The BYD DOLPHIN sets the safety standard among electric cars, as it comes equipped with a comprehensive range of advanced driver assistance features as standard. Positioned as one of the safest choices on the market, all versions of the BYD DOLPHIN feature a complete suite of safety technologies, including a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).

Enhancing its safety credentials, the BYD DOLPHIN also includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RTCB) as standard features. Utilising millimetre-wave radar, these features actively detect other road users approaching from behind during reverse manoeuvres. In the event of an imminent collision, the car issues a warning and automatically applies the brakes, further underlining its dedication to safety.

The groundbreaking Blade Battery, a defining feature of the BYD DOLPHIN, has been revolutionising safety, durability, and performance in the electric vehicle (EV) industry for over 28 years. Constructed from lithium iron phosphate (LFP), a secure and sustainable material that eliminates the need for natural resources like nickel and cobalt, the battery offers unparalleled advantages. The BYD DOLPHIN is fitted with a 60 kWh LFP Blade Battery, delivering an impressive range of up to 427 km on a single charge.

The BYD DOLPHIN benefits from 11 kW AC charging, allowing for a full recharge in approximately 8 hours from empty. Furthermore, the vehicle also supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 29 minutes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

The BYD DOLPHIN comes equipped with an advanced heat pump system as standard, enhancing the car's energy efficiency and overall range. This innovative system harnesses residual heat from the powertrain, passenger compartment, and batteries, utilising it for both heating and cooling purposes.

Designed for optimal efficiency across a wide range of temperatures, the heat pump system ensures that the BYD DOLPHIN remains comfortable in all weather conditions.
